FRENCH TOAST blueberries, blueberry syrup, whipped cream // CRISPY DATE-GLAZED BACON // SMOKED SALMON EGGS BENEDICT chive hollandaise

A classic French bistro nestled in the middle of The Strip, Mon Ami Gabi is a beautiful spot to satisfy your morning appetite. This was definitely a place to release my inner Francophile. The food was amazing, rich yet delicate, and elegant at the same time. When we first arrived, I didn’t know what to order so our server excitingly asked me, “Want it to be a surprise?” I was sure this guy knew what was good based on how he asked me so I said yes. “Sweet or savory?” he asked. I decided to go for sweet. The next thing I knew, he arrived at our table with a beautiful plate of french toast with fresh blueberry sauce, freshly whipped cream and a side of glazed bacon. This server was after my own heart. He said this was one of his favorite breakfast meals here because it’s the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I couldn’t agree with him more. Even dipping the bacon into the whipped cream was a delight.

TIP

Ask to sit by the window in the glass pavilion. It has the greatest ambience and the best natural lighting for photo-taking action. If you want a different, more intimate vibe: they have dim lighting inside, perfect for cozying up next to your partner.

2. Gordon ramsay burgr – planet hollywood

BEER BATTERED MAUI ONION RINGS parmigiano-reggiano, chipotle ketchup, cheddar ranch dip // SHAKE #5 chocolate hazelnut pudding, coffee shake, praline cookie

Oh. My. Goodness. I’ve had many burgers in my life, great ones and mediocre ones. But these burgers from BurGR, are on a whole ‘nother level. Other burgers shouldn’t even be compared these guys. I can also say the same for their onion rings and shakes. Their onion rings were crispy, dusted with parmigiano-reggiano cheese and slightly addictive. Their shakes were more like a dessert rather than a drink. If you have a sweet tooth, Shake #4 is for you. It’s an oreo shake with crème brûlée pudding. And if you don’t want something too sweet, the shake above, Shake #5, is perfect.

TIP

Go all the way and get a burger + onion rings + shake combo and you will have the most amazing food experience. If you’re feeling a little full before dessert, I suggest sharing your dessert with your partner because their shakes are not a dessert to pass on. Seriously. It’s worth fight over your partner for.

3. Wicked Spoon – The cosmopolitan

THE MEAT TABLE prime roast beef, sausage, roasted him, bone marrow // SHRIMP SCAMPI clams, seaweed, lemon white wine sauce

A trip to Las Vegas is not complete without eating at a buffet. All the dishes at the Wicked Spoon looked beautifully well-crafted so we knew anything we chose would taste just as good as it looked. I highly suggest allowing yourself some time to sit down and just eat. Give yourself 3 hours. Seriously. My partner and I were enjoying ourselves so much that we ended up missing our flight back to San Francisco.

TIP

Ask your server what their personal favorites are. Our server’s favorites were the Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings and the freshly cooked Shrimp Scampi. They became our favorites too!

4. Secret Pizza – The Cosmopolitan
TravelingPetiteGirl.com

MEAT LOVERS italian sausage, pepperoncini // CANNOLI chocolate chips

Secret Pizza is a grab & go pizza spot that’s a little more hidden your typical hole-in-the-wall joint. For one thing, they have no signage and no directions. It’s also much more yummy than your typical pizza joint. Open late at night, club goers like to go here from the Marquee Nightclub. We went here for a quick bite before heading over to the Bellagio to watch, “O.”

NOT SO SECRET TIP

To find Secret Pizza, head over to the 3rd floor and walk down the long hallway covered in record covers. You’ll know you’re at the right spot because you will smell pizza in the air.

5. Babystacks Cafe – Spring valley

RANCHERO SKILLET ortega chile, chicken, green salsa, pepper jack cheese, cheddar cheese // BANANA FOSTER PANCAKES sautéed bananas, cinnamon caramel sauce, whipped cream // RED VELVET PANCAKES cream cheese syrup, chocolate crumbles, whipped cream // HM1 SKILLET pork, bacon, green onions, cilantro, swiss cheese

If you’re itching to get out of The Strip, take a 15 min Uber ride to Babystacks Cafe, a family-owned, Hawaiian-Filipino brunch spot that’s won the hearts of Las Vegas locals. When we entered, we were immediately greeted with Hawaiian charm and Filipino hospitality. We filled our stomachs until we couldn’t eat anymore and as we ambled out of their restaurant, we couldn’t feel more happier. Somehow their food gave us a soul boost. It was that good. There’s something about mom & pop restaurants that you can’t get at other places. Whatever it is, this place has plenty of it.

TIP

Red Velvet Pancakes are a MUST. Everyone talks about it for good reason. If you’re craving something on the savory side, you can’t go wrong with their Kalua Pig Benedict and Adobo Fried Rice.

6. hotel room service

FRENCH TOAST maple syrup // SOUTHWEST BURRITO scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, chorizo, queso fresco, avocado, chipotle crème fraîche // FARM FRESH BERRIES strawberries, blackberries, blueberries

Nothing can get more intimate than room service in your own hotel room with your partner. We decided to spend our morning in and try out the room service at the Vdara Hotel & Spa. The quality of the food was amazing and about the same price you would expect from other restaurants except you get these delivered right to your door with great service.

TIP

Save a few bucks and by stopping by Walgreens or CVS and buy a bottle of wine instead of purchasing it from the hotel. Draw a hot bath, drop a fragrant bath bomb, pour your wine, slink into the tub, and enjoy each other’s company.
